This notice explains how Version X Ltd collects and uses personal data through this website (versionx.co). It does not cover the Version X platform product — platform customers are governed by a separate data processing agreement.

Who we are

The data controller is Version X Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16795302. Our registered office is at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF.

What we collect

When you submit a demo request we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your work email address
  • Your company name
  • Any message you choose to include

We also collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, referrer, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address). We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • Responding to your demo request. We process the information you submit in order to follow up with you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (to respond to a business enquiry you have initiated).
  • Improving the website. We use analytics data to understand how visitors use the site and where to improve it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

We will not use your contact details to send you marketing without your separate consent.

How long we keep it

Demo request data is kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to follow up and manage the resulting business relationship, or up to two years if no relationship arises. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and is not linked to identifiable individuals after 26 months.

Who we share it with

We use the following third-party processors to operate this website. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use your data as we instruct:

  • Vercel — website hosting and edge infrastructure
  • Supabase — data storage
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

International transfers

Some of our processors operate infrastructure outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are made under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or equivalent safeguards.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
